CSR is central to our business ethos; it means that we believe the practice should contribute to the community and demonstrate that our location and the environment matters to us as well.

The Environment and CSR

Here are some of the ways The Hughes Consultancy puts CSR at the heart of its business model:

• We invest in our staff, providing training and day-release for continuing study and volunteering.
• We are an ICAEW-approved training centre, offer work placements, and provide Richmond College Apprenticeships.
• We invest in the local community, encourage staff to volunteer, and sometimes provide our services gratis.
• We invest in local community sports clubs, we are members of the Richmond Society, the local rowing community Quintin Boat Club, Harlequins Rugby Club Foundation, and contribute financially to several local community initiatives.
• We donate to local charities and take a proactive interest in local issues.
• We are a dog-friendly office and like many of our clients we support the RSPCA
• We work to minimise our carbon footprint, saving energy, recycling, and running as near a paperless office as we can;
• Provide staff the opportunity to buy equipment through the cycle-to-work scheme.
